BA has big Third Quarter to handle LCA
The Bulldogs left campus early this Saturday and ventured to Massachusetts in order to take on the Lions of Lexington Christian Academy. It was a picture perfect day and you could not ask for better weather.
Senior goal tender, Kyle Lanzit got the start in the cage, and he was nearly flawless between the pipes. He turned away a number of successful bids, limited LCA to only one goal, and showed off his improved stick skills and clearing ability.
On the offensive side of the ball the Bulldogs jumped off to a quick start going up by four goals by the end of the first quarter. However, the third quarter proved to be the best one for Berwick, and the team jumped out to a commanding lead after half-time. Tom Hay, Peter Jenkinson, and Max Werman made smart and unselfish decisions with the ball.
Brian O’Day continues developing as a vital member of the team. Yesterday, he took, and won, the vast majority of the face-offs, and before the game came to a close, he had netted his first career varsity goal.
Before heading back to Maine, the Bulldogs went to go see the Harvard Crimson battle Yale University. Harvard ended up winning the game 13-8 in-front of a good crowd in Cambridge.
The players and coaches would like to thank all the parents and fans of the team for coming out, showing their support, and providing the team with a wonderful assortment of snacks after the game.
It truly was a great day for lacrosse at Berwick Academy.
