5/9/2009 - Berwick Academy 14 v. Hebron Academy 0
BA Shuts Out Hebron
On Friday the Bulldogs of Berwick played host to the Lumberjacks of Hebron Academy. It was a picture perfect day for lacrosse, and fresh off a good win against Bancroft on Wednesday Berwick was eager to continue keeping the positive momentum rolling. Tom Hay and Peter Jenkinson led the offensive for the Bulldogs and played smart, unselfish, lacrosse at the attack position. Jordan Sanford and Phil Ramunno were hard to beat in the middle of the field, and the defense was anchored by Aaron Harris who made his presence felt with great checks, a handful of ground balls, and even a goal. However, the day belonged to senior net-minder, Kyle Lanzit. Kyle played great in the cage for the Bulldogs, turning away potential bids from Hebron, making some stellar saves, and clearing the ball an effective and efficient manner. It truly was another great day for Berwick Academy lacrosse.
The Bulldogs will host the Highlanders of Pingree School on Saturday in what should be a phenomenal and highly anticipated match up. We hope all the fans turn out to support the boy’s lacrosse team and Berwick Academy on Blue and White Weekend.
