5/17/2009 - Berwick Academy 15 v. CHCH 0

BA Finishes Regular Season with another Shut Out
On Saturday the Bulldogs of Berwick Academy ventured down to Massachusetts to battle the Chargers of CHCH.

The team was without defensive stalwart, Chris Atwood, however the team played well on the defensive side of the ball; Patrick Nichols and Kyle Lanzit spilt time in the cage and walked away from the game with a shut-out.

Offensively, the team played in an unselfish manner and a host of players walked away from the game putting points up on the board. Highlights included junior, Kevin Mills, netting his first bucket of the season and ending the game with a two point day. John Reinhardt flexed his offensive muscles and scored his first goal of the season on a bullet of shot from twenty yards out.

The contest against Chapel Hill marked the end of the regular season for the Bulldogs; however, there season is not yet over as they will be competing in NEPSAC's this coming Wednesday.

Bulldogs hold off Vikings
This Wednesday, the Bulldogs of Berwick ventured down the Landmark school in order to do battle against the Vikings. Fresh off a heartbreaking loss to Pingree on Blue and White Weekend, BA was anxious to get back to their winning ways.

The first quarter of play went back and forth, and the Bulldogs struggled to take control of the game. However, the second quarter was a different story, and BA rode a commanding 7-1 lead into the half-time intermission.

The third frame of play favored the Vikings and they slowly started to battle back. However, senior net-minder, Kyle Lanzit stood tall, and turned away possible bids from Landmark players. The fourth quarter was all Berwick, and the Bulldogs made good use of their EMO (extra man offense). Berwick returns to play this Wednesday when they will host Concord Academy.
